DISCOUNTS IN LOW SEASON AFTER THE FIRST WEEK
Historic and artistic medieval monuments
(castle) in the foothills of the Aragonese Pyrenees (Spain), which have
been recently restored and are located in an agricultural and
cattle-raising environment. With hiking and plain routes which can be

eggs, suckling lambs, feeding rabbits with weed, milking goats and

of Wine (Casa del Vino) and the house of wool and the honey rooms and
the pigeons- are in a fortress which was built at the end of XV century
in the middle of a quite environment in the country and which has a
park for children.

The monumental Casa Mur de Aluján is located in the
central area of the Pyrenees, near the pre-Pyrenean villages of Aínsa,
Graus, Benasque, Broto, Jaca and Barbastro, from where you can learn
more about the Romanesque art, the Aragonese castles and their
tradition. There is also a bird's viewpoint (from where you can see the
cinereous and bearded vultures, quebrantahuesos)

Casa Mur de Aluján is an architectonical monument surrounded by
defensive towers, wine cellars, medieval paintings, presses, and even a
chapel. The apartments preserve the traces of the life of a typical
self-sufficient castle, but which has been brilliantly tailored to
modern life requirements, becoming a confortable and functional house.
The premises have gardens which in the middle of the quite country life.

It is called the house of the oil because it is the space
where the oil was stored in several stone deposits. In Aluján, there
was no oil mill, but there were 4 kilometers in the village of Fumanal.

THE ROOM OF
THE HONEY, in whose pocket the bees had honeycombs, is located in the
tower of the chapel and the machicolation. It is a suggestive space for
couples and spend a few days and nights. It is easy for your
imagination to transport you to the Middle Ages, especially if you
contemplate the decorative mural paintings restored with care and
professionalism. As with the Las Palomas room, the interior is accessed

the natural spots of the Parque Nacional de Ordesa reserve, the Monte

beneath the massif of the Peña Montañesa, the famous Buddhist monastery
of Panillo, the sanctuary of Torreciudad, the medieval monuments of Muro
de Roda, the centre for the bearded vulture, the tower of Abizanda and
the historical monuments of Aínsa.

HOW TO GET THERE |

From Toulouse (France)
Aluján is only 60 kilometers far from the Spanish
border. Take the A-64 in Toulouse (France) towards Lannemezan and then
drive south the D-929 up to Aragnouet-Bielsa, in the Spanish border. In
Bielsa take the A-138 towards Aínsa and from the N-260 towards Campo up
to the crossroads of Valley of La Fueva-Tierrantona. Aluján is only two
kilometers to the west of Tierrantona.
From Pau (France)
Take the road N-134 up to the Spanish border, and
further towards Jaca and Sabiñánigo. From Sabiñánigo take the road which
goes from Yebra de Basa to Fiscal (N-260) and keep on driving up to
Aínsa. From Aínsa (N-260) drive towards Campo up to the crossroads of
Valley of La Fueva-Tierrantona. Aluján is only two kilometers to the
west of Tierrantona.
From the Basque Country (Spain)
In San Sebastián take the A-15 up to Pamplona.
From Pamplona take the A-21 and the N-240 up to Jaca. From Jaca take
the N-260 up to Sabiñánigo, and continue through the N-260 towards Yebra
de Basa, Fiscal and Aínsa. Keep on driving through the N-260 towards
Campo up to the crossroads of the Valley of La Fueva-Tierrantona.
Aluján is only two kilometers to the west of Tierrantona.
From Zaragoza (Spain)
Take the motorway up to Barbastro. In Barbastro, drive towards
Aínsa and after 16 kilometers when you reach Ligüerre take the turning
to La Fueva-Tierrantona. Aluján is only two kilometers to the west of
Tierrantona.
From Barcelona (Spain).
From Barcelona, take the motorway towards Lérida, and then from
Lérida to Barbastro. In Barbastro drive towards Aínsa and when you reach
Ligüerre after 16 kilometers take the turning for La Fueva-Tierrantona.
Aluján is only 2 kilometers to the west of Tierrantona. |
